Library Programs

Preschool Storytime and Baby Lapsit every Wednesday beginning at 10:00.  Join us at the library where we’ll share a good book, songs, crafts and a snack.

NEW PROGRAM - Family Storytime will be on the first Saturday of each month at 11 a.m.   Parents and children through elementary age are encouraged to join us at the library for a story and a craft activity.

Get Ready for Kindergarten – offered once a month on the second Monday of each month.  The program does not run during the summer, and will resume in October. The class, for children between ages 3 and 5, offers fun and enriching “hands-on” lessons without parents in attendance.  Advanced sign-up is required. Call 964-3744.

Summer Reading Program – 322 children participated in the program which concluded on July 9.  Twelve top readers were awarded bicycles with the help of Andy Armadillo from Texas Roadhouse Restaurant. The bicycle winners were Ryan Peterson, Kara Peterson, Tyler Williams, Valerie Dickey, Aaron Dickey, Natalie Bojorquez, Elijah Lopez, Kelsey Swisher, MacGregor Pena, Makayla Greening, William Byerly, and Abby Clinger.  All the fun, food and prizes were made possible by our volunteers and sponsors:  Pilot Club of Canyon Lake, Wal-Mart, Dollar General, Sac-n-Pac, Pedernales Electric, Canyon Lake Noon Lions Club, Dairy Queen, Chick-fil-A, Colonial Manor,  McDonalds, and Canyon Lake Ace Hardware.
