Saturday, June 8 - Opening day carnival & registration for Summer Reading Program (10 to noon)
Wed., June 12 - Canyon Lake through time: Dinosaurs to Lake Days presented by the Heritage Museum
Wed., June 19 - Live outdoor flying birds of prey program presented by Last Chance Forever Birds of Prey Conservancy
Wed., June 26 - Craft day, along with singer Al Barlow. A visit from author, Aaron Zook will follow for chapter book readers.
Wed., July 3 - Puppet presentation of the book, The Uglified Ducky
Wed., July 10 - Announcement of winners of the 10 bicycles. You must be present to win. There will be hot dogs & chips for all!
Preschool Storytime and Baby Lapsit: every Wednesday beginning at 10:00 (except during the Summer Reading Program weeks). Join us at the library where we’ll share a good book, songs, crafts and a snack.
Get Ready for Kindergarten: Second Monday of each month from September through May for children ages 3 - 5. Please call or come in to sign up for this program.
Books with Bailey: Bailey is an Australian Shepherd who enjoys being read to by kids of all ages. Children who would normally be reluctant to read aloud really open up around Bailey, who doesn't mind a bit when a reader stumbles over a hard word. Bailey arrives twice a month on Saturday(usually the 2nd & 4th) at 11:00 a.m. Click on "Calendar" on our website or call to check if it's Bailey's Saturday - 830-964-3744.
Millionaire's Reading Club: Come read a million words by reading lots of books and doing educational activities. We meet in the children's area of the library on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month (September through May) at 3 p.m., but you can come as late as 4 p.m. Appropriate for grades 2 through 8.
Monthly Movie Event: A free children's movie is sponsored by The Friends of the Library one Saturday each month. Popcorn is provided. Click on "Calendar" on our website or call to get details.
