The Friends of Tye Preston Memorial Library is a 501(c)3 organization formed to promote the growth, development and welfare of the library; we are dedicated to establishing a close relationship between the library and the people it serves. The Friends reach out to the community through a variety of programs that enthusiastically encourage people to use, enjoy and support our library.
The Friends of the TPML is a special group of volunteers who come together to assist the library staff with a variety of children and adult programs and activities. We try to find a person's talents and put them to use for the benefit of the library as a whole.
As a 501(c)3 organization, the Friends of TPML is the conduit through which grants for the library come. Some of the funding for construction of our new library has been obtained in this manner.
All funds that are raised by Friends' activities are used to help with library programs.
